"He weighs how much?!?!?!"

I went in for ultrasound yesterday to find out just how big this "little" guy is getting! Turns out he's weighing about a pound too big!!! He should be just about 3 by now, but they're putting his weight at just under 4 pounds!!! I don't know yet exactly what that means for us. I have another appointment today to see a doctor in the practice for my 30 week checkup so I'm guessing she'll be able to tell me a little more. The ultrasound technician was so surprised by the size of Hayden's head and overall size! She kept remeasuring to make sure she was getting it right! He still has a good, strong heartbeat and there's nothing wrong. But she did say that in most cases like this my doctor might need to have me schedule more ultrasounds to keep up with him. Guess there's just no point in delivering a 10 pound + baby! But we love seeing him, and getting the pictures! She was able to show us lots of hair on the back of his head! It just sticks out since he's floating in water! The picture is his newest profile. They get harder to see as they grow! And there's a big bubble lingering over his head! But it's our baby and I had to share!

3D Ultrasound!!!

This week we got to go in for our 3D Ultrasound! This is just an extra that is a keepsake. It's amazing to watch our little boy moving around and making facial expressions. We saw him yawn, stick out his tounge, and smile! He kept his hands near his face alot. Sometimes they made it difficult to get a clear view of him. His nose smushed up against the screen alot too, so sometimes it looks really wide. But he's precious. He has the sweetest little lips! There is a picture where we could all agree it looks like he's flipping us off! But I guess boys will be boys! winking Pictures, Images and Photos
It takes a week or so to actually have the DVD and all the pictures put together. With Bronwyn's there was no way to upload the DVD. I'm hoping they've changed... if not maybe I can try making a video of a video. But we were given a few shots to go home with!

my honests...

So I've been tagged by both Amity and Barb to admit to 10 of my honest truths...
I've decided to play! Here are the rules in case I tag you!
A) first list 10 honest things about yourself - and make it interesting, even if you have to dig deep!
B) pass the award on to 7 bloggers that you feel embody the spirit of the Honest Scrap.

1. I hate to check my blog and find that no one left any form of comment after I took the time to update. It's not always easy to find the time, and I thought people appreciated my work!

2. I'm turning 30 on the 30th... my "Golden Birthday"... and I have to admit I'm pleased with where I am at in my life. I don't think I would make any changes!

3. I hate drinking water and the fact that I'm trying to flood my kidneys is almost impossible for me!

4. I almost always have a pile of unfolded laundry in a basket in my room. We wear half of it before I get to the remains.

5. I only started cooking real dinners since Bronwyn was born. It was not until her that I valued the importance of family dinner time.

6. I don't use any condiments. Butter and salt... nothing more...

7. If Danny would be okay with it, I would be a surrogate mother.

8. I feel most beautiful when I am pregnant.

9. I feel like after two miscarriges last year everyone is so used to me being pregnant that this baby doesn't matter anymore...

10. I am a shopaholic! I know this... but I will not change.

Now, I've selected the following to tell their honest scrap! So do it!

Before it's too late...

I'm still trying to pack away Christmas... being sick really put a damper on my original plans!!! A week before Christmas I was out shopping with my mom and she bought Bronwyn this cute Tigger on a rocking horse that sings Christmas music. Bronwyn really gets into it. He does the "Up on th housetop" song and while she danced along we realized that she had all the moves down! She watches Barney ALL the time and there was a Christmas show where they did the song. She actually memorizes what they do!!! We figured out that this is who taught her the dance! I had to get the camera out tonight and catch her on tape... in a year I know she'll be so different! She didn't do all the moves like she normally does, by the time I got the camera out, she'd already been dancing again and again! But still... always our cutie!

28 Weeks Along!!!

Today I went in for my 28 week appointment! I was really excited to go and hear the baby's heartbeat again! He's moving all the time now. For this appointment I had to 1st go into the lab and drink a special sugar enhanced drink called Glucola. The testing is done to determine if you suffer from gestational diabetes or glucose intolerance of pregnancy. Once my actual appointment was over I had to have my blood drawn and should have my results back soon.

I saw my usual doctor and everything is looking pretty good. When both the nurse and my doctor measured my belly they each "remeasured" saying it seemed too big! Every month I measure right on and this month I measured bigger than normal for 28 weeks. My doctor is having me schedule an extra ultrasound this month to determine the exact size of the baby and make sure he isn't getting too big! I only gained 1 more pound in the last four weeks, which brings me to 7 total. My doctor says my weight gain is good for me and she's hoping I can keep it around 15 pounds total. So now we just need to find out his size!!! I also came down with a bad cold a few days ago and spent the weekend in bed and didn't feel like eating much. My doctor took time to check me out and make sure the cold is in my head and not in my chest. And now I know I can pretty much take any medicine I want, I had been hardly taking anything the last few days! I'm also being treated for a bladder infection... apparently they're real common in pregnancies but she's afraid that if it goes untreated it could turn into a kidney infection. I've dealt with enough of those over the last 10 years and would rather not deal with that pain right now! So, treat away!!! So that's where we're at, this was my last monthly appointment, I'll be going in every two weeks until the last month, when I'll go every week. Other than that, we have our 3D ultrasound scheduled for next week. That's the one that is basically just a keepsake. But after we did one with Bronwyn, we are excited to see it again! It makes you cry every time! (unfortunately there is no way to upload it!) And Danny and I like "looking in" every chance we get. When I told Danny I would have to do an additional ultrasound he was excited we would be able to have another chance to see little Hayden (as well as make sure he's not going to get big)!!!

Bronwyn seems to be jumping on my belly a little less... she definitely notices that the belly is growing. It the cutest thing when she stands in front of me real close to my legs and I can hardly see her! The belly takes over! But she's super sweet around her cousin little Art and her friend Zoey. I know she's going to be the best big sister EVER!!!

Bronwyn's new band!

Santa brought Bronwyn a little band-in-a-drum set for Christmas. Today she took some time to play and figured out the harmonica! I love it! She's just too funny!
