Today I went in for one last ultrasound to check the size of Hayden. Since my belly is always measuring 4 weeks larger than it should they wanted to find out just how big he is getting! After all the measuring the technician did, the calculations show that he's weighing about 7 pounds and 4 ounces. Also, it changes the due date to March 19th based on size. I see my doctor on Monday and that's when she'll go over the results with me and talk about whether or not it's best to induce me early. He's still healthy! The technician pointed out his breathing to me and other things that she said are important for them to see. I was reading that at this stage babies gain about a 1/2 pound a week in the womb. If that's the case, another 4 weeks would definiatly put him over 9 pounds! Any new guesses on the expect.net game?!?!? lol!
This picture is looking right at the front of his face. The white under his face is his arm, then his elbow, his hand was actually resting on his cheek. The pictures are not as clear anymore as any baby is taking up too much room at this point.
This one is his profile. His nose is right up against me! Running out of room for sure!

Hapyy Birthday Braden!

Our new nephew Drew shares a birthday with our friend Braden! He's turned 3 on Wednesday and when we left the hospital for a bit we headed over to make it to his birthday party at Chuck E Cheese! Bronwyn has never been there and it's been awhile since I have, so I didn't know what to expect! She had tons of fun! She really was crying on the way out. Thank goodness her and I had matching stamps on our hands from when we went in or they may have thought I was trying to steal someone elses child! She didn't care to have pizza, or even a cupcake, she only wanted to play! There were a few little rides that were perfect for her. And since we spent the day at the day at the hospital, each time anyone got something from the vending machine they let Bronwyn put in the money, she had putting coins into the rides down! The timing worked out great! It was fun and Bronwyn has a blast when all her friends were around! We'll definitaly have to take her back soon!

Welcome Drew Robert!

Wednesday March 25th, my little brother Danny and his wife Rachael welcomed their new baby boy into the world!!! Drew Robert came in around 1:45pm weighing 9 lbs 5 ounces and measuring 22 inches long!!! He's a Binford Boy for sure! Bronwyn and I spent most of the day down at the hospital along with my parents awaiting his arrival. Danny made it down to the hospital after working and got to see him in the nursery. He is so excited for Drew and Hayden to be close in age and grow up together!
After many hours for Rachael, and trying for more than an hour to push, little (or shall I say BIG!) Drew was stuck! They ended up having to perform a C-Section in order to get him out. Both Drew and Rachael are doing well. Seeing my brother with Drew is amazing! I know he is just in love with that little guy! He has such a sweet face.

Bronwyn and I had to leave for a bit before getting to see Rachael after delivery, but we made it back to the hospital to say hello and get another peek just before they were going to try and get a little rest for the night. Bronwyn had only seen Drew when Danny was bringing him from the nursery to the recovery room where Rachael was.

When he left with him Bronwyn was pretty upset. She cried and cried! The nurses thought he was her brother for sure! I can only imagine what we can expect once Hayden is born. Once we went in to see them all, she wanted to hold Drew right away. I didn't let her, new parents have enough to worry about and my 2 year old doesn't need to make them more nervous! We'll let him get a few days of life in before that scare!!!
We're so happy to have met little Drew, and we are so excited for both Danny and Rachael to be parents! Congratulations to them and we can't wait to see them all again!

Happy Birthday Bronwyn!!!

She made it to 2!!! We celebrated Bronwyn's 2nd Birthday with a Sock Hop party since she likes to dance so much. All our family and friends came out for the big event! Make fun of me as you will, but she's my little girl and she'll always have the best birthday parties her mommy can think up! We made poodle skirts for all the girls to wear, and the boys even had thier own shirts with a painted on guitar. The girls all danced and danced, we played a little "Pin the Cherry on the Sundae" and then it was time for the cake! All the kids got to decorate thier own sundaes and we had lots of cupcakes too! Next came the craziest part ever... for me anyway... PRESENTS!!! Oh boy! So many little hands wanting to help! But we made it through and Bronwyn received some many gifts! She's having so much fun with everything!!!

Here's a video of a little bit of the dancing. The girls all really seemed to enjoy the skirts. Since all of my cousins actually know how to dance they really made it fun for all the younger ones! It's too cute! And as usual... Bronwyn just likes to dance to her own tune!

Bronwyn's Big Girl Bed!

With Hayden on the way it was time for Bronwyn to give up the crib and get herself a Big Girl Bed! I also decided she needed to pass on her dresser/armoire that my dad built because it matches the changing table that is also in the nursery. So Bronwyn go a new dresser and a new bed! Because of the size of the room and the toy boxes/bench seat/bookshelf that my dad built when we moved in, it took us a long time to decide what style bed would be best. We decided on a day bed and found a really nice one that has a white wood frame. Danny built the dresser the night before and last night we got everything in place and put the bed together. I bought all her bedding back when we were moving in and painting the room. I've been waiting to complete the look! Unfortunately, I didn't get to take pictures of the new setup before Bronwyn fell asleep! Danny was reading to her out on the couch and when I went to get her and take her to her exciting new bed... she was out!!! So we went in and slid her under the covers, snuggled Daphney in by her side, placed a pillow on the floor in case she rolled out and left her in dream land. We did sneak a picture (or 3) before Danny made me leave the room worried I'd wake her! She actually slept the whole night in her bed. It wasen't until I woke up and was showering, that she must have woken up. Danny said she cried and he went in to get her, she was sitting up in her bed. I'm glad she stayed there all night although I'm sure it won't happen every night! But I know she likes a big bed rather than the crib. I was almost sad to see her in such a big bed, she's still so little! And she'll always be my baby...

A 34 Week Update!

I had my appointment this week and things are pretty much going the same. My belly is still measuring 4 weeks larger than it should! I have an ultrasound scheduled at the end of the month and then another appointment a couple days after with my doctor. She said that's when she'll be able to tell me if we need to plan on being induced early. If they see it's just alot of fluid then I should be okay, but if it's all baby, we might be having him a week or so early. So far to date I have gained 10 pounds and my doctor finds that to be fabulous! That's right where she wanted me. I'm really starting to feel the strain on my body. Everything is just harder lately. But I'm super busy trying to get things together for Bronwyn's birthday this weekend and then getting the nursery finished also. It has to happen! I mentioned how tired I've been feeling, so they pricked my finger and tested my blood. Seems my iron is a little low. They had me start taking an iron supplement and said I should feel much better within a week! I'm grateful for that... I really have got to keep going right now. That's pretty much anything new. My baby shower is in another 2 and a half weeks and I'm super excited for it! My friends Lisa, Barb and Laura are throwing it and we've having it my house. I'm determined to have the nursery done for it. And at this rate, little Hayden could be making his debut two weeks later, so need to be ready! My house is in shambles between getting the nursery going and redoing Bronwyn's room in the process. I feel like we just moved in all over again and I need to figure out where to put everything! Oh well... it'll get there... it always does! Now if I could just find out where I last saw my "mommy cape"...

Happy Birthday to my Daddy!

We celebrated my dad's 55th birthday yesterday. We had the usual family gathering, went over to my parents house for dinner, then all our family came over for cake! Bronwyn is sure getting the hang of this birthday thing! She even started saying her version of Happy Birthday! It comes out like... "Haeeie-Day!) But she said it all night and was pleased with the reponse from all of us around!

Bronwyn was allowed to help Grandpa blow out his candles. With all the candles she's seen lately she's probably going to be pretty disappointed to find only 2 on her cake! We'll have to see what we can do to make it more fun! Happy Birthday Dad! We love you!

My Valentines!

We spent Valentines Day this year in the perfect way! We started out by getting the hardwood floor laid down in the nursery. Danny and my dad put in a few hours and it looks incredible!!! Bronwyn was able to hang out and watch with me, little help here and there. The color of the flooring and the colors of the wall paint look great together! I must say... someone around here has an eye for decorating! Winking Pictures, Images and Photos

After that was finished my parents watched Bronwyn for a bit while Danny and I went for a little time to relax together. I really have been wanting a pedicure and Danny decided that he might enjoy one too. It was a first for him, but he did admit to enjoying it and is willing to go back with me again. (He even finds the cost completly worth it!!!) The place I chose is amazing! They do alot of massaging your legs and feet and even bring out hot stones that they massage with too. It was very relaxing!

This is my new view... I can still see my toes... but at least now they are pretty to look at! Hee Hee! My feel are such a long way down!!! It's harder and harder to get to them!!!

After our R & R we grabbed some "to-go" from Old Chicago, picked Bronwyn back up and came home to watch a movie together. I spent the night with all my favorite people... Danny, Bronwyn, and the little guy growing in the belly! Perfect ending to a loving day!

Our Tiny Dancer!

SAY DANCE!!!
We've decided that it may be time for Bronwyn to join a dance class. She really learns alot from shows that she watches and I'm thinking she'll pick up on it pretty quickly. We decided to take her to the studio where most of my little cousins dance and my cousin Michele actually teaches. Today was her first day in the Basic Tot Movement class. It's just one day a week for an hour a day. I took her today for a free trial class. For the first half hour she seemed to really get into it. She does really well at watching and then doing herself. I was able to peek in through a crack in the door and I must say I had one of my proudest mommy moments so far! I teared up a few times just seeing her excitement! There were just three other girls along with Bronwyn. She was the youngest and the smallest of the group! The second half of the hour seemed to be a little more difficult for all the kids to stay focused... and Bronwyn seemed to only want to dance alone and watch herself in the mirror! I tell ya'... she was meant to perform! As Miss Fran said, their attention spans at this age are a little short. But we're going to try again next week and see how she does. Then we'll decide if we think it's worth putting our money into. Although I think the interaction alone is the best part for her. Bronwyn has never been a part of any group activity and aside from Danny, my mom, and I, has never needed to take real direction from anyone. I'm looking forward to taking her next week. She's been dancing around all night!!! But then again, that's what she does now anyway!

32 Weeks!

Since my 28 week appointment I think I have had something going on that's not been quite right each week. Let's see... where do I start to catch up...

My belly was measuring bigger than it should. I had my ultrasound and felt like the other doctor I saw was not telling me much. I did get a call from my regular doctor a couple days after telling me that he is measuring about 12 days larger than normal. She said there was nothing we needed to do for now, but any excercise I was up to would be good and that they would keep an eye out at my next visits.

Last week I started to get those terrible "charlie horse" pains in my calf muscles. The biggest problem was that after 2 days the muscules were still tight and I was feeling like I could barely walk. After reading about blood clots I decided to call in to the office. They had me go in for an ultrasound on my legs. That ended up showing no blood clots, and the only "treatment" they could prescribe was to tell me to drink more milk! And I did... and I started taking calcium supplements... and it didn't help the pain. That was about a week ago and I'm almost pain free. One calf is still a little tight but I wake up throughout the night and make sure I keep stretching it out.

Today I went in for my 32 week appointment and everything is still going good. I am still measuring almost 4 weeks larger than normal, and they had me schedule one more ultrasound for 36 weeks so they can check in on Hayden once again. The doctor I saw today said that if anything, they might try and deliver him one week early. But they won't touch him until them, that they would want to make sure that his lungs get all the time they need to fully develop. So that sounds good to me! I don't want him early if it's not necessary. I'll keep him cozy until it's time! Other than that, I've gained 9 pounds total now. He is about 4 of it! He moves all the time! Sometimes so much that it actually hurts! He's a kicker... I think he's learning it already from his big sister on the outside! Bronwyn really sweet when she lets me know she wants to see my belly. But once my shirt is up and my belly exposed she uses me like a drum!!! She beats away before I can get her to stop, there is such a hollow sound to it! Sometimes she'll lay her head against my belly, and every now and then she does give a kiss. But she's got a little less than 8 weeks left before she really finds out that there really WAS a baby in mommy's tummy! I know she's too little to understand yet. But she's going to love every second once he arrives!

Today I was able to pick up my 3D/4D Ultrasound!!! I managed to finally get it uploaded after much frustration! I lost the music in the process, but at least I can post it! Some of it is a little hard to tell what is going on. And sometimes his face floats into the background and you lose him. If you hang in till the end you can see his heart and all the valves beating away! Check it out!

And then we were caught...

We decided to show Danny our dancing when he got home. We took our turns dancing with Bronwyn, and she made us grab a partner, aka, her baby dolls! I joined in, of course, being the good mommy that I am!

A Little "Pre" Sock Hop Action!

This year for Bronwyn's birthday we're having a Sock Hop! Danny and I came up with the idea since she's really getting into dancing around. She's pretty funny to watch and comes up with quite a few moves on her own! I downloaded some music for the party and today we started to listen to it and get in the "Sock Hop" spirit!

My Golden Birthday!

Wow! I've been terrible at blogging anything lately! (Maybe it's my new old age... I'm just forgetfull!) So on the 30th I turned... 30!!! I'm complelety happy at where I am in my life going into my thirties... but if I could put it off forever I would!

You can't exactly "party hard" when you're expecting, but I did have a fun time celebrating. That Friday all of my side of the family and Jim and Eveyn came over to have cake with us. It was nice that everyone was able to make it over. Then on Saturday Danny and I got a night out while my parents kept Bronwyn overnight. We went to Dave and Busters and got to play and hang out with all my friends! I feel very special that so many people showed up to share the 1st of my thirties with me!!!

So goofy...

The other morning we caught Bronwyn trying to hide in the pantry... so we decided to have a little fun with it! Here's the way it's supposed to go...

... and here was her too funny back fired attempt! she was never closing the door all the way and then did accidentally!

She's just a silly kid!
