Another Day at the Office...

graphics for moms

I'm pretty luckily with the work situation that I have. For anyone who doesn't know, I work for my dad part-time in his office at my parents house. My mom watches Bronwyn upstairs so I get to see her whenever I want and she can visit me and Grandpa at work any time she needs to! In the last week or so she's decided to take over the extra desk in the office. I have to unplug the phone, and move the calculator (paper removed) closer to her and she's set up! She needs paper and a pen, usually a paper clip and a rubber band too! Yesterday she came down to "work" a little. I, of course, took the opportunity to take her picture!

Merry Christmas!!!

What a busy busy Christmas this was!!! Bronwyn came down with quite the little cold on Tuesday afternoon... she could not have planned that for a worse time!!! It definitaly dampened her christmas mood, but we managed to get through the two days with lots of fun! We started Christmas Eve off at Danny's Dad and Evelyn's house. Everyone was there except Danny's uncle who had just had a surgery the week before and was not able to celebrate with us. But still, aunts and uncles and cousins galore!!! We ate a yummy dinner and then got to watch as all the kids got their gifts from Grandpa and Abuela. Then the craziness of all the other gift exchanging began!!! It's tons of fun and totally exhausting when it's all done!!! After getting Bronwyn home, we left out our cookies and milk for Santa and put Bronwyn, and her little runny red nose to bed. Of course she's still little and doesn't understand what is really going on. She and Danny slept in, while I paced around, still cleaning and making sure everything was in it's place! We got a clip of her coming over to the tree. She really didn't realize what all the gifts were about! Before getting her to the tree she just had to have her juice and she grabbed her tinkerbell doll that my brother Roger and his family sent for her a couple days before. Once she was ready, she came in the living room and saw all the gifts Santa gave her! You'll see that she went right for a teapot and cup... which really amazed me, she already has three other sets!!! But once she got into the other stuff it was great to watch her having fun!

After seeing what Santa had brought, my parents came over with gifts for all of us! (Even Hayden collected his share!!!) We spent some time with them and Bronwyn showed off all her presents! Tehy left and we napped... then we headed to their house for our Christmas Dinner. My brother Danny and Rachael were also there. Bronwyn just kept getting more and more presents!!! We ate and ate and then left for my cousins house. We joined everyone there and all played a white elephant gift exchange. It was lots of fun to spend time with everyone and just relax for night.

Friends 1st Birthday Party and our 1st Christmas celebration!

We had a busy day this Sunday! First Bronwyn and I celebrated our friend Keegan's 1st birthday! My friend Laura moved back into town this summer so it was really fun to be apart of one of her celebrations! We made the cake for Keegan's party so that he could dig into his own giant cupcake!!! Bronwyn had lots of fun! We joke that she has a crush on Keegan, really I think that it's because he's smaller than she is and she LOVES babies!!! As you can see, she always had to be in the picture!!!

After all that fun, we headed over to Danny's moms and Scott to celebrate Christmas with lots of family! It was great for us! This was really the first time that Bronwyn has been able to open her own presents! Last year she just didn't get it! Even for her birthday, she was not interested! But she had fun opening her gifts and trying to play with everyone elses!
Here's a clip of Bronwyn slowly getting into it!

Here's all the pictures from our fun!!!

Bronwyn sees Santa!!!

I knew that Bronwyn was not going to be Santa's "Biggest Fan" this year. She's fine to say hi and bye to him, but getting her on his lap is like trying to put a cat in water! We experienced this last month when we saw him at the North Pole. But that wasn't our trip to acually see him, so we thought we would put her through the tramatic event once more!!!
Before heading out to see Santa... (proof that she was excited about the idea)!

Here's another clip of the actual experience!!!

And the picture... it's pretty bad when Santa won't even look at the camera!!! I did warn him though!!!

Does your tree need more trimmings?

mommy christmas graphics

Lastnight I was wrapping some gifts and Bronwyn was "helping"! She was completely facinated by the bags of bows laying around. She decided the gift I was wrapping needed about 10! Then this morning when we got to my moms she immediately noticed a bag full of bows my mom had been using. She decided to decorate the tree with them!!! She's a crafty little girl! And no body's tree has enough on it when it comes to Bronwyn's opinion!!! She did it at Grandpa and Abuela's house too! http://evelynandmrjones.blogspot.com/2008/12/our-little-helper.html

24 Week Appointment!!!

We've made it to 24 weeks now and still have a healthy baby boy growing inside!!! I had my appointment yesterday and got nothing but good news! Danny couldn't get out of work for this one, but Bronwyn was with me and we were able to hear his strong little heartbeat. My belly is measuring perfectly for 24 weeks. Everything else is looking just fine! I managed to not gain any weight in the last 4 weeks which the doctor said is not a problem since I did gain 6 lbs the month before. So actually that means I have only gained 6 lbs so far! I'm quite pleased! It was a quick appointment, but we passed! I told Bronwyn that if she listened to her brother he would probably tell her to stop kicking him! I tell her that he's allowed a few kicks when he gets out for all the pain she causes us! Danny says he'll never let any boy his his little girl... not even her brother!

Also, we have decided on a name!

Shadow Word generated at Pimp-My-Profile.com

The boy's name Hayden \ha(y)-den\ is pronounced HAY-den. It is of Old English origin, and its meaning is "hedged valley".

We're excited about it! We needed something that was different, after all, Bronwyn is not the most common. Hayden is more common, it is used for both boys and girls names. But it's the one Danny and I agreed upon pretty quickly. We thought of a few others, but nothing really stuck with us after Hayden was on our minds. So there it is!

Happy Birthday Mom... from a kids point of view...

This week was my Mom's birthday. We went over to celebrate and had cake and ice cream. We gave my mom a Snowman decoration that holds little snowmen on the arms with each of the Grandkids names written on them! Bronwyn gave my mom a new booster seat. She doesn't want to sit in the high chair anymore... so we got my mom a new booster that buckles to a chair so Bronwyn can be safe and feel included!

After I took a picture while we were singing "Happy Birthday", I laid my camera down to help serve and to eat. When I was uploading my pictures, I remembered that a few little girls "borrowed" my camera and took some of their own shots! I thought I would share... These were taken between McKenzie, Caidenyce, Miranda, and Chelsie!

One busy Weekend!

Apparently we decided to pack in as many things to this past weekend as possible! Most of it was spur of the moment... but we had lots of fun and saw lots of friends and family!
Friday we joined our friends Barb, Kaitlin, and Zoey for dinner! We learned that Barb really can make yummy cupcakes using dry mix and a can of soda!
Saturday we went to Kaylie and Alyssa's 6th Birthday party! they had so many friends over, there were little girls everywhere! Bronwyn got really comforalbe once she started collecting toys and didn't want to leave!
After the birthday, we headed downtwon for the Parade of Lights! There was crazy amounts of traffic, and crazy amounts of people... and we weren't exactly running on schedule because of it! But we met up with Barb and Laura, and their kids and tried to squeeze our way through crowds to let the kids have a peek! It was fun, and not very cold at all. Right at the end, people started leaving and we were able to get Bronwyn and Kaitlin right up to the road gaurd just in time to see Santa pass!
One thing I learned... Bronwyn + Mommy's shoulders = one sore Mommy the following day!

On sunday, the Denver Museum was having a free day! So again, Barb, Laura, and I ventured out! (5 kids and a "Daddy for borrow" in tow!) They had a new dinosaur exibit and Bronwyn growled everytime she saw a poster for it! We made our way to the Dicovery Kids Zone, where neither of us had been before. It was tons of fun for the kids! There was lots to do. We were able to play in there for quite a while!

After lots of play, we had lunch and headed out! We needed to get home and get out Christmas lights put up! Our house is finally completely decorated, inside and out!
Here are a couple pictures from last week when we were putting up the tree! Bronwyn can't resist helping! And it wasen't good enough for her ornaments to go at the bottom, so she used my step stool to get them right where she wanted them!

Thanksgiving Pictures!

This year Thanksgiving was a little different. We didn't have to eat two full dinners... but we did get to have dessert before the meal!!! We usually go over to eat with Danny's Dad and Evelyn and her kids. This year, Evelyn had just had a surgery on her hand and Jim's schedule is pretty packed. So we just got together for some pie!!!
Here's Jim and Evelyn, with Bronwyn, Islea, and little Art.

Bronwyn loves anyone smaller than herself! She just had to hold little Art and did not care to share him with his sister! She'll have one of her own soon enough... if only she understood that!

After dessert we were off to eat with my mom and dad. This year Roger, Dolly, Peyton and Hunter were in town for the holiday. My brother Danny and Rachael were there also. I think that was the largest crowd my parents have had at their table in a while! I was stuffed with the little amount on my plate! I suppose the 5 rolls did not help! The weather forcast called for some evening snow... but it just never came. The boys were waiting and waiting. They get snow in California... just not our Colorado snow!

The next night we went back over to my parents for dinner and to to say goodbye to Roger, Dolly, and the boys. We took lots of pictures and just hung out. And then... finally... there was snow!!! We all went out once there was enough to play in! But it was sure cold! The boys had lots of fun! And Bronwyn attached to Roger once he started making her snow balls! She'd get one and basically drop it, but then wanted another one right away!

It was so much fun spending the week with everyone! I was sad to see them all go. But Bronwyn got in some fun and I'm glad she got to spend alot of time with them all. I really hope she remembers them for the next time. They are planning to come back in April sometime, there will be two new baby boys to meet!

The North Pole!

This past week with my brother in town was a blast! I have so many pictures!!! I'll try to have an upload overload! The last time Roger, Peyton, and Hunter got to see Bronwyn she was only 3 months old. So this time was so much more fun! I think Bronwyn fell in love with Uncle Roger, as she always seemed to be grabbing his hand to play or follow her. And each day Hunter was looking for Bronwyn, waiting for her to come over Grandma and Grandpa's so that they could play together! One of the days they were here we went down to the North Pole in Colorado Springs. I've only been there in August so being there on a cold day was lots of fun! Especially seeing Santa in the winter... that seemed to make more sense!!! Here are some pictures from the day!

And of course... a little video!!!

Happy Turkey Day!!!

Just wanted to wish everyone a quick Happy Thanksgiving!!! I feel truely blessed this year for the little prince baking away in my tummy! I'm so thankful to have Danny and Bronwyn in my life everyday. Bronwyn makes me the proudest mommy around!!! This year my brother Roger and his family are here to celebrate Thanksgiving with us. It's been so nice spending time with them! I'll have lots of pictures to post once the week is over! I miss my nephews so much, but we've been having lots of fun with them since they got into town. And I'm so thrilled that they all are getting to spend time with Bronwyn! She's been loving every minute of it!

Bronwyn's 1st Haircut!!!

I took Bronwyn for her 1st hair cut... more like a hair trimming as it was not all that long, but it was just getting a little raggedy looking! I wanted it cleaned up a little, just not to lose her little curls in the back!!!
This is her before picture...

I took her to a fun place called LolliLocks! She got to sit on a special pink elephant and Miss Tracey trimmed away!

She sat really well. Miss Tracey did the cutest stlye on her hair! She even got glitter spray all through her hair when it was done!
