My Mommy Moments

I love having my part-time work schedule and getting two days off with my babies in the middle of the week. This week we had to head out to the mall for some gift shopping and exchanging. I have not been to the Aurora mall since I was pregnant with Bronwyn. Then a couple weeks ago and again the other day it seemed that mall had every store we needed to stop into. Makes the most sense when your figuring out how to tote both kids around with the stroller and make the least amount of trips in and out of the car as possible. Before leaving the house I asked Bronwyn to go pick out some shoes to wear for the day. I found her in her room and had to catch her in a video to share her silliness!

Back to the mall, Bronwyn remembered it from our past trip and how much fun she was able to have. One of her favorite shoes on T.V. is Noddy, on Sprout. She ♥loves♥ him! And right outside the Hallmark store is a coin operated ride with none other than Noddy himself along with Tessy Bear and an open spot in the driver's seat of his popular yellow car! And to have all this happiness for just 75 cents I could never tell her no! Here's a little clip of Bronwyn, chatting away with him!
(Notice how she keeps her arm around him!)

We also found another ride just outside the bank that she convinced me into letting her ride for $1 more than once! But she was just SO excited! I think it's because she is able to be on it all by herself.

While Bronwyn took her nap Hayden and I got a chance to hang out, just the two of us! We played on the floor a little on his mat, and I got him smiling and laughing away. He makes the sweetest little sounds! I can never get enough of his smiles!
(Press play to see my little sweetness!)

Later that night we had plans to join our friends Barb, Brandon, Kaitlin, and Zoey at the library for story time! They take Kaitin often and we were invited to tag along this week. It was alot of fun! They read a few stories and did some fun exercise stuff in between. I think it's great when Bronwyn can interact with other kids in her age group. And... it's FREE! We can't wait to "tag along" again and hope that we are invited to!

Then yesterday we started off with a trip to the grocery store. If Bronwyn behaves and listens to Mommy she is allowed to ride on the horse on the way out. This is my favorite ride EVER... it costs 1 cent!!! I love that! At this rate I think we can hold off on a trip to Disney for about 5 more years! Who needs to spend thousands when we have all this fun for $1 or less!?!?!

I grabbed the camera for one last time for the day to get a shot of Hayden in his baseball jersey outfit and hat! The hat fits his head perfectly right now. I can just imagine him a little older and playing on a little league team!

I love spending my days with them! Whether we stay at home or head out, we always have a fun time together!

wE ♥ sWeeTs... aND SwEEtie NepHeWs!!!

Our nephew T.J. turned one this weekend and I wanted to bake him a giant cupcake for his party. As luck would have it, the cupcake pan takes about a box and a half of cake mix... leaving you with enough left over to make about a dozen cupcakes!!!
Bronwyn loved the idea of frosting her own cupcake and espcially getting to put "spokies"... aka: sprinkles, on it! It was going really well until she got a taste of the frosting. It's amazing how much more accidentally gets on your hands!
I'm pretty sure the best part was getting to eat it!

After the mess, we headed over for the birthday party! It was lots of fun! Bronwyn seemed to be having the best time. She loved the games and the crafts. She was so excited for her turn to "pin the nose on the lion". And Grandpa helped her take a swing at the pinata! T.J. seemed to enjoy his cake! It's always fun watching a little one dig into their first. He makes some funny expressions! Happy Birthday to him!

My Little Guy

Hayden is now 4 months old! Crazy how time is passing so quickly! I took him to the peditrician last week and was confirmed of something... he's still a BIG BOY! He now weighs 16 pounds, 7 ounces and is just over 26 inches long. The doctor says that is a good combination. He's gonna' be big!

His new favorites are:
* sitting up in the Bumbo chair
* bouncing around in the jumper
* spitting up on Daddy ;)
* smacking at the little froggie on his jumper
* rolling onto his tummy... and get his "stuck" arm free!
* smiling at Bronwyn, mommy, and daddy

♥ Bless Little Hayden ♥

Over the weekend Hayden was baptized at Saint Louis Catholic Church. My older brother Roger and his family came in to town to meet Hayden and become his Godfather. Danny's Aunt Mary is Hayden's Godmother, as well as Bronwyn's. The church we had the ceremony at is very important in Danny's family. Some of our family and friends came out to be there with us and then to celebrate afterwards. Hayden slept through most of the ceremony, but he was awake for the blessings and when the preist poured the water over his head. He looked a little confused but seemed to enjoy it! We had everyone back to our house afterwards for lunch and cake. We were happy to have our family and friends come and celebrate with us. This was a very special day for Hayden, Danny and I.

~Renaissance Festival~

While my brother Roger and his family were in town for Hayden's Baptism we took a trip to the Colorado Renaissance Festival. We've been a few times before, but this year was alot more fun having more family with us! It was us, them, my parents, and Danny, Rachael, and Drew. We went on Lover's Weekend. On our way in I got a special kiss on my hand from Prince Charming! It's always fun seeing everyone dressed up in costume. They way they all talk and act the part is really entertaining. There is so much to do and see... and eat! Yum! I think some of the food is the best part! The boys had to have swords, Bronwyn got a fairy wand and butterfly wings! We played lots of games although we never won anything good! The boys said there favorite part was throwing tomatoes at a guy at Vegetable Vengence! Bronwyn and I rode an elephant! Even Hayden seem to enjoy his bumpy stroller ride. There is also a little petting zoo area where we fed lots of animals and Bronwyn rode a horse! So much fun! If you've never been, make it one of your summer weekend stops!!!

One packed 4th of July weekend!

We had one of the busiest weekends ever this weekend packed full of family fun! I wish I could share every picture I took, but there are just too many!
We started out Friday night with Danny's dad and Evelyn as they renewed there wedding vows for their 10th anniversary. It was so much fun to celebrate with them. Congratulations to them!
(This is such a great picture of them and I didn't get one that was nice so I stole it from Evelyn!)
My goal was to get a picture with each of our nieces and nephews! I got one with all of them!

Then Saturday, the 4th of July, we really were busy! We started off at my parents house for a BBQ with them and my brother, Rachael, and Drew. It was nice just to relax and hang out and eat!

After that we headed down to Colorado Springs to Danny's Aunt Gay's house to celebrate with his moms side of the family. They all came in from out of town for a little family reunion. It was really nice to see them all. I have only seem them for weddings so it was fun just to be there and hang out. Here's a few more pictures, I have not got around to stealing from everyone elses yet!

We headed home in time for what we thought would be a great fireworks show from our front porch... little did we know that the big show was cancelled this year! I guess it was pretty common for lots of places with the economy this year. BLAH! Oh well, my parents joined us at our house and we saw a few that some neighbors were doing. Bronwyn seemed pretty scared at first so I'm looking forward to next year when she's a little older!
It was a busy day and a late night. We were all ready for bed! Hope everyone enjoyed their holiday!
