Good day for a trip to the park!

We just got home from a trip to lunch and then the park with our friends Lisa and Hailey. Bronwyn is crashed out so I thought I'd take a minute for a quick update! It really is so fun to watch her grow and try new things! We've gone to the same places a couple weeks and months apart and each time she tries to do so much more! She definitely wore herself out today! She's even playing a little more WITH her friends instead of playing on her own. She was all about following Hailey for awhile and doing what Hailey did! Check out the pictures of some of her fun!

Not the celebration we were hoping for...

Happy Memorial Day
With all the great weather we've been having you think we could have had a nice day for Memorial Day.... just not the case. The day started out cloudy and rainy and stayed cold all day. We spent the day at my mom and dad's helping them start the work for their new deck.

This is a shot I got once my brother Danny had broken through most of the concrete patio.

Bronwyn couldn't stay outside in the rain, but still managed to sleep through two hours of jackhammering!

Danny got stuck hauling out the busted up concrete.

And Bronwyn supervised from inside while Grandpa built some temporary steps.

Humankind cannot bear very much reality. ~T.S. Eliot

So here I am... back in the blogging world. Things have been a little different around here for almost the last two weeks. It's difficult for me to move on before letting everyone in on what we've been going through.

I found out almost two weeks ago that I became pregnant again. Immediately my doctor had me going in to a lab for blood testing. They needed to test my hormone levels to be sure they were rising correctly. I did my testing on a Friday and again the following Monday. They gave me the first results from Friday's testing and they seemed to be okay. Then on Wednesday they gave me the next results and my levels had dropped. My doctor told me she would be treating this as another miscarriage and that I would experience that again soon. Danny hoped that she was wrong since I was not experiencing anything like the first time. But by Friday everything was happening like my doctor said would. I'm not too sure where this leaves us now... other than baby-less. It's hard to imagine going through this over and over. I'm afraid it'll be much more than I can handle.

Once I can get in to see my doctor I want to see if we can figure out what exactly is going wrong and what I can do to make it right. There has to be something we can figure out. I want another baby more than anything but if I am meant to only have Bronwyn... I can live with that. Having Bronwyn and Danny in my life is really what keeps me going on.

You can never make too many trips to the Denver Aquarium!

Today we took a family fun day and headed out to the Denver Aquarium. We went twice last year but this time was by far the best! Bronwyn got to walk through this time and go up and see the tanks up close. It was fun to watch her get excited about what she saw. Bronwyn tried to kiss strangers and kept kissing the glass of the tanks. She flirted with a scuba diver and blew him lots of kisses too! She sure had his attention... and drew quite a little crowd! She seemed to really be enjoying herself until we made it to the big shark tank at the end. There she was, walking so fast to get to the glass... she didn't stop and ran right into it!!! That put a damper on her mood for a bit. We ended our trip by playing in the water and feeling the sting rays, that seemed to help! It's alot of fun to go somewhere we've been before and see how different the experience is from the last. We'll definitaly be back again this summer!

The little dipper!

I am a very plain, no condiments, kinda girl when it comes to food! And since Bronwyn is usually eating off my plate, I've apparently been sheltering her from some pretty fun tastes! The other day at dinner we let her dip her fries into some ranch. She loved it! She tried using the french fry as more of a spoon for more ranch! Then at lunch another day we let her dip her breadstick in some garlic sauce. She was quite the fan! Now, the garlic sauce is the only thing I will dip in... and knowing that I'm going to have to share this from here on out is really hard to comes to grips with! She cleaned out the rest of my sauce!!! And... she double dips!

Fun at the Denver Zoo!

We decided to get out and enjoy some of the nice weather... in between the raining! We headed out to the Denver Zoo with my parents. We've been going pretty often since we have the membership but each time gets a little more fun! Here are a few pictures of our day!

Attached!

Bronwyn is now attached to a new sweet little bear. We actually bought the bor version of this bear as a gift when our newest nephew Logan was born. But the girl was just too cute to pass up and Bronwyn "talked" me into getting her one too! But each night I give her a hug and a kiss and lay her down in her bed, then I hug and kiss this little teddy bear and place it in her arm. I know she doesn't hold the bear all night long. I've peeked! But in the last couple of mornings, when she wakes up and is crying for us to come down and get her, we've found her holding onto the crib rail with one hand... the other is holding her teddy so tight! It's the sweetest thing! I would try to catch it on camera... but she might get a little mad if I'm snaooing pictures while she's just trying to get some extra cuddle time in bed with us! I got a couple this morning to share though.
Danny thinks we need to name her teddy bear for her... since she obviously won't be able to let us know the name she has chosen! Danny is trying for "Daphne", while I was hoping for "Oatmeal" (cause of the texture and color of the fur). Danny's brother Greg was nicknamed "Oatmeal" somewhere along the way, so we just weren't sure that would work! I refer to the bear as "Snuggle" each night when I lay it next to Bronwyn. So I guess we're still up for suggestions on this one!

This morning when we left to come to my parents house, Bronwyn was still holding her bear. Danny asked if it was okay to take it with her to Grandma's house. Of course we let her... wouldn't want to pry it away! He said, I'm so glad she chose it as her favorite! I said, I suppose I chose it for her! And I intended too! This bear is too snuggly to not get all that love! Danny let me know I need to find another one now, just in case it stays her favorite! We're hoping Logan loves his just as much!

That cute little girl!

Tonight during Bronwyn's bath she was paying a lot of attention to the little girl in the bathtub drain mirror. (You know, the thing that prevents the tub from overflowing?) She's loved it since she was first taking baths in the big tub. Well, tonight... i have proof!

Such a silly little girl! If you ask Bronwyn where the pretty little girl is, she now points to herself, thanks to my mom! She seems to know to point to herself when she sees of picture of herself also. She's so funny about other babys' pictures too. Like, her yogurt has a small baby face on it and she always makes it a point to point it out when she is being fed! She really likes real pictures of babys, not just cartoon faces. And she also seems to really like real kids! She go up and hug any random kid in a store or when we're out. Guess she just loves to love!
